Introduction to Classification of Explosion Relief Windows

There are three types of explosion-proof windows, namely A-type explosion-proof windows, B-type fragile explosion-proof light windows, and C-type fragile alarm skylights.

1. Type A explosion relief window is an external window that can open the pressure relief port under a given opening pressure and close the pressure relief port after explosion relief, allowing for continued use. When the venting pressure reaches 10kpa-20kpa, the venting window can be opened.

2. B-type explosion-proof windows are fragile lightweight windows that provide pressure relief surfaces for explosion-proof rooms. The material of the B-type explosion-proof window for the lighting part of the light window is steel, and the stress section of the profile to the small wall thickness should not be less than 1.4mm. The plastic transparent material used for the B-type explosion relief window is glass fiber reinforced polyester daylighting board, generally using a 1.2mm-1.5mm flame retardant transparent flat plate, with a maximum thickness of 2.5mm. This type of board has the characteristics of lightweight, high-strength, high light transmittance, corrosion resistance, aging resistance, flame retardancy, and water impermeability. Due to the large size of the B-type explosion-proof window opening, each lightweight window is composed of a basic sash, a door to door sash, and a solid panel sash assembly. The width of the door leaf in the door and window connection is 900mm and 1500mm.

3. The C-type explosion-proof window is a lightweight and fragile explosion-proof skylight that provides pressure relief facilities for factories with explosion hazards. It is also known as a roof explosion-proof hole (hole). C-type explosion-proof windows are suitable for industrial buildings with Class A and Class B reinforced concrete structures that pose an explosion risk.

Explosion venting windows are located in boiler rooms of industrial and civil buildings, with an explosion pressure value of usually 20-40PSF. When an explosion or combustion occurs inside the building, the gas pressure inside the room increases sharply. Explosion venting windows open and release pressure through explosion venting accessories or devices to control the occurrence of explosions or minimize the degree of damage.

Explosion relief window refers to a special steel window that can automatically detach the explosion relief bolt of the explosion relief window when the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the building reaches a relative value. The explosion relief window can automatically open, release gas outwards, reduce internal pressure, and protect personnel and property inside the building. In the event of an accident, if the predetermined level is not reached, the explosion relief window can still be used normally.

Explosion venting windows have passed multiple tests and are suitable for industrial buildings such as chemical, petroleum, nuclear power, underground and soil covered dangerous warehouses, as well as civil buildings with protective requirements such as precious goods warehouses.
